4-H Youth Give Back

TS Run 24-H groups or individuals can apply for up to $1,000 Revolution of Responsibility grant to identify, plan, and carry out a service-learning project in their community.

A 13-year 4-H member took one year to plan, coordinate and execute a run to raise awareness and funds for Turner Syndrome - a syndrome that creates short stature (usually up to a maximum of 4’8”) in those that have it, low-set ears, webbed necks and hearing problems. These children need shots when they are young that will help them gain height.

The silent auction contained donated items from businesses such as McDonald’s and Subzero Ice Cream as well as private donations of skin care products, baked goods and other items. Over 200 people showed up to run and $7,000 was raised and given to the Turner Syndrome Foundation.
