The UCCE San Diego GSOB Education and Outreach program utilizes traditional and modern communication channels to reach residents, landowners, secondary stakeholders, related trade industries, agency officials and organizations offering natural resource public education, and elected officials. Our goal is to relay current information on all aspects of the GSOB pest, raise awareness on the value of oak woodlands and potential loss impacts, and encourage public and government actions to address suspect infestation, firewood movement, volunteer opportunities, oak woodland recovery, and need for financial support.
