This leadership position in fundraising is assigned to the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources of which the California 4-H Foundation is a part.

The California 4-H Foundation is a separately incorporated non-profit entity and a recognized support group of the University of California, whose mission is to develop private resources in support of the UC 4-H Youth Development Program. As Foundation Director, the incumbent is responsible for working with the foundation board to develop the funds and volunteer structure necessary to implement the vision, goals and strategies and priorities (short-term and long-term) of the Statewide 4-H Youth Development Program.

As the chief fundraiser for the 4-H Foundation, manage 4-H and Youth Fund Development portfolios of individual, corporate and foundation prospects. Develops strategies and timetables for cultivation, solicitation, closing and stewardship of major gift prospects in support of ANR's and the California 4-H Foundation's missions. Support National 4-H fundraising campaigns providing strategy and reporting to volunteers and 4-H program leadership. Work with Director of Annual Giving on online and offline campaigns. Recruit and manage Board of Directors and other key volunteers.

The Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) comprises 57 County Cooperative Extension Offices, 9 Research and Extension Centers and 8 Statewide Programs and 2 institutes, and has an operating budget of more than $190 million. The ANR Development Services Office provides leadership, coordination and support services to assist ANR accomplish its research and extension mission and meet highest-priority needs through philanthropic support.
