LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION: Supervise 4-H Community Education Supervisor 1 staff in the following six regions: 1. Humboldt/ Del Norte/ Lake/ Mendocino, 2. Modoc/ Siskiyou/ Lassen/ Plumas-Sierra, 3. Shasta/ Trinity/ Tehama/ Glenn/ Butte/ Colusa/ Sutter/ Yuba, 6. Placer/ Nevada / El Dorado/ Amador/ Calaveras/ Tuolumne/ Alpine, 10. Madera/ Fresno/ Kings/ Tulare/Kern /Inyo-Mono, 12. Riverside/ San Bernardino/ San Diego/ Imperial
Conduct Regular Meetings, Performance Management of 4-H Staff, Handle 4-H Staff Concerns, Handle Agency Concerns, 4-H Staff Lesson Observations, Lead and Support 4-H Staff, Review/Approve 4-H Staff related Travel, Purchases and Mileage, Review/Approve Timesheets. Meet with Statewide 4-H Director and counterpart to discuss issues, successes, partnerships within their designated regions.
PROGRAMMATIC LEADERSHIP: Develop Program Goals, Develop Programmatic Goals for 4-H Staff, Track and Report Goals, Needs Assessment.
TRAINING: Train and Mentor New 4-H Staff, Manage Training Plans for 4-H Staff, Statewide 4-H Professional Development Planning.
PROGRAM INTEGRATION: Facilitate ongoing or new 4-H Program Integration collaborations.
BUDGETING AND ADMINISTRATION: Develop and Manage 4-H Budget, Reconcile Ledgers.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS: Participate in Community meetings, Build Community Relationships, Coordinate Outreach Plans. Respond to Media Requests, Prepare Agency Agreements/MOU, Document CASA Outreach, Coordinate Cluster/Unit Program Delivery, Coordinate Programming with Statewide Office.
PROGRAM EVALUATION: Develop 4-H Program Evaluation Tools, Ensure evaluation goals are met, Prepare Assessments and Reports.
4-H CLUB OUTREACH METHODS DOCUMENTATION: Develop a statewide system to uniformly collect and report data.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMPLAINTS: Provide complaint or refer complainant to the ANR Affirmative Action Officer or Title IX Officer. Notify Statewide 4-H Program Director.
COUNTY PROGRAM FEES: Provide input and monitor the 4-H fee process, Review, and submit to CD. Provide input and monitor the fee process, Follow the 4-H enrollment process and meet payment deadlines established for state 4-H program fees, approve enrollment deadlines in specific programs and events, Ensure all individual and group enrollments are entered into 4hOnline, Approve any limitations on enrollment.
MAIN POINT OF CONTACT IN PARTICIPATING COUNTIES FOR 4-H POLICY IMPLEMENTATION AND DETERMINATIONS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: Volunteer Appointments, Complaints, Fairs and Shows, Exchanges, New Regional and County events, Club chartering, VMO/Council Budgets, Bylaws and Constitutions, Name and Emblem, Bank Accounts, Financial Reporting, Accident and Injury Claims, Use Agreement, Alcohol, Drug and Tobacco violations, Bank Accounts, Financial Reporting, Accident and Injury Claims, Use Agreements.
This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed. Flexible job location - the selected candidate may choose the home office from the list of counties/locations they supervise, depending on space availability at the site. Possible home locations include Humboldt/ Del Norte/Lake/Mendocino, Modoc/Siskiyou/Lassen/Plumas-Sierra, Shasta/Trinity/Tehama/Glenn/Butte/Colusa/Sutter/Yuba, Placer/Nevada/El Dorado/Amador/Calaveras/Tuolumne/Alpine, Madera/Fresno/Kings/Tulare/Kern/Inyo-Mono, Riverside/San Bernardino/San Diego/Imperial.
Annual Salary: $48,900/yr. to $75,800/yr. (salary ranges differ by county/location)
This position will promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.
