We Are the Farm & Home Advisors

There's often some confusion as to who we are and what we do. It's not always a simple question to answer as we exist under two different names.

First and foremost we are UC Cooperative Extension of San Diego County. Many of our academics conduct research on behalf of the University of California's division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. That's where the UC comes from.Cooperative Extension reflects the way that we operate in nearly every county throughout the state. We partner with our respective counties to provide education and outreach to the residents all throughout the state on various topics and issues. Some of our programs are conducted on behalf of the County of San Diego and since each county  has it's own departmental structure, we then operate under a different name.

The Farm and Home Advisors are one in the same as UC Cooperative Extension of San Diego County. This video was put together for our partners at the County offices to give local residents an idea of some of the work that our office does. We hope that after watching you'll have a better idea of all the things our office does to better the lives of not just San Diego residents, but all Californians.
